      The short version: Easy Schengen Tracker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device and your private iCloud account. We never see your photos — only GPS metadata is read locally.
    

1. Who We Are

Easy Schengen Tracker ("the App") is developed and published by Easy Schengen Tracker. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect no personal data. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. There is no account creation, no login, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.

3. Photo Library Access

The App requests permission to access your photo library for one purpose only: to read GPS location metadata (latitude and longitude) embedded in your photos. This is used to determine which countries you have visited.

      Important: The App never accesses, views, copies, uploads, or stores your actual photos. Only the GPS coordinates and date metadata are read. All processing happens entirely on your device.
    

4. Data Storage

All data generated by the App (trip records, day calculations, preferences) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit.

Local storage: Data is stored on-device only and is not accessible to us.
iCloud sync: If enabled, data syncs between your Apple devices via your personal iCloud account. This data is encrypted by Apple and is not accessible to us.

We have no servers, no databases, and no way to access your data.

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional Pro upgrade via Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information, credit card details, or billing data.

6. Notifications

The App may request permission to send local notifications (threshold alerts, weekly digests, re-entry alerts). These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any external server.

7. Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. The only external services involved are:

Apple CloudKit — For optional iCloud sync (governed by Apple's Privacy Policy)
Apple StoreKit — For processing In-App Purchases (governed by Apple's terms)

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account:

To delete all App data, simply delete the App from your device.
To delete iCloud data, go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage and remove the App's data.

10. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or process any personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. You have full control over your data on your device and iCloud account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
